This piece was adapted from a painting entitled the Peasant Wedding, by Pieter Bruegel the Elder. Bruegel was born in the Netherlands and changed the spelling of his name from Brueghel. He is considered the greatest Flemish painter of the16th century. The Peasant Wedding is one of my favorite works of art.
