Humingbird Summer

I stitched this piece when we were living in Denver. However, this summer (2008) I had the most marvelous Hummingbird Summer! Well - actually into the fall, the hummingbirds visited our little (very little!) garden. From the window of my sewing room I could enjoy the garden and spy the little hummingbirds who would visit. It was a marvelous summer!

A flash of harmless lightning,
A mist of rainbow dyes,
The burnished sunbeams brightening
From flower to flower he flies. "
